I said I'd break out And leave the rut To the lout And the slut And the no-good doers. I said I would break And the broadway take: I did, But I stumbled And headwise tumbled In a hole where workmen were mending sewers. You would say By the way Of my words. I gas Idly, make play To please me as Wise men have done in a sometime age. But stay friends, stay!
